  2. Let’s set it up on new Raspberry Pi 4. Pi-hole is a simple server that sits between your router and connected devices and filters out ads. It works like this, the router receives all the queries from the devices and instead of routing those to the Internet, the requests are sent to the raspberry pi and the Pihole then cherry-picks the ads.

In order to setup an OpenMediaVault Raspberry Pi server, you’re going to need a few things: Raspberry Pi 3 or 4 with a proper power supply; Micro SD Card – 8GB or more with USB Adapter; Ethernet Cable is preferable for network access; External USB Hard Drive that you’re okay formatting / erasing; A Computer – I’m using a Windows 10 PC. Once the Raspberry Pi has been updated, we can now start installing the print server software. In this case, we will be installing CUPS. This software manages printers connected via USB or over the network, and it has the bonus of providing a management interface that you can view over the internet. With a Raspberry Pi NAS Server, you can easily store anything from movies to games in virtual storage and access it from any device and anywhere in the world.
